The rug is in excellent condition and would be a gorgeous wedding or anniversary gift today as it would have been early last century. Made with Persian wool, pile just under one cm using vegetable dyes. The colors are traditional for the time including blood red, rose, royal and midnight blues with accents of golden tan, browns, and beige. Not uncommon for smaller Persian and Armenian antiques, the warp and weft is also wool while cotton was used to stabilize the selvage and fringe (all the edges around the perimeter). This rug measures 120cm x 150cm.

Vacuum regularly. Loose threads should be trimmed with a scissor (do not pull!). Rug protectors are recommended. If your new rug is exposed to the sun, it is a good idea to rotate regularly to prevent uneven wear. Blot spills with a clean towel (white is best). Cleaning the entire rug should be handled by a professional rug cleaning service.
